Oppo launches three new smartphones in India, Check price, specifications and features

Oppo has launched three new A-series smartphones in India ahead of the launch of Oppo K10 on March 23. The newly launched smartphones are Oppo A76, A96, and an A16e. The Oppo A76, A96 are mid-budget smartphones while the Oppo A16e is an entry-level smartphone.

The Oppo A76 and A96 comes with a display that supports 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

let’s take a look at the specifications, features, and price details of the new Oppo smartphones.

Oppo A76, Oppo A96, and Oppo A16e Price, Availability

The Oppo A76 price in India is set at Rs 17,499. The Oppo A96, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 19,999. Both of new Oppo phones will compete against Redmi Note 11 Pro, Realme 9 Pro, and more in the sub-Rs 20,000 price range. The sale of the devices have already started. So, you can buy them on Oppo’s official website and across various offline stores in India.

The Oppo A76 is avaialble in Glowing Blue and Glowing Black color options. The Oppo A96 comes in two colour options– Sunset Blue and Starry Black.

The price and availability details of the budget friendly Oppo A16e are yet to be announced. It comes in three color options – Midnight Black, Blue, and White.

Oppo A76 and Oppo A96 specifications

Oppo A76 and the Oppo A96 sports a Glow Design and has mostly similar specs. Both the smartphones is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor that comes with an integrated Adreno 610 GPU. The Oppo A76 supports 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, while the Oppo A96 comes with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. They run Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 out-of-the-box .

Display

Oppo A76 comes equipped with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate support and the Oppo A96 features a 6.59-inch FHD+ (2412 x 1080p) IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Camera

The Oppo A76 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The Oppo A96 also has a dual rear camera setup but it houses a 50MP primary sensor and has the same 2MP depth sensor.

Both the devices has a punch-hole design for selfie cameras on the front. The A76 has an 8MP selfie shooter, while the A96 sports a 16MP sensor.

Storage

Both the new A-series smartphones come with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that supports storage expansion via a memory card slot.

Battery

Like we said earlier, both the devices draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Other features

Other features of the Oppo A76 and the Oppo A96 include dual-SIM support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack, Face Unlock.

Oppo A16e specifications

Display

The entry-level Oppo A16e features a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with 60Hz refresh rate support. It has a teardrop notch for selfie camera. It runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.

Camera

Unlike the A76 and the A96, the A16e comes with a single 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter is placed inside the teardrop notch at the front.

Processor and storage

Under the hood, the device has a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, paired with up to 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 64GB of eMMC storage which can be to expand further up to 1TB via a microSD slot.

Battery

The phone is backed by a 4,230mAh battery. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack onboard and also has supports Face Unlock support.
