Oppo is going to launch the F21 Pro series smartphones in India on April 12 at 5PM local time. The Series includes two-smartphones– Oppo F21 pro 4G and Pro 5G. The Oppo’s Indian branch made tha announcement on its official Twitter page. The Oppo F21 Pro series will be launched as the successor of the Oppo F19 Pro series which was launched last year.

The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will sport a Fiberglass-leather design. According to the Chinese company, the Oppo F21 Pro 4G in Cosmic Black and Sunset Orange colour shades and the Pro 5G will come in Cosmic Black and Rainbow Spectrum color options.

Oppo also revealed that the Cosmic Black variant of the F21 Pro uses OPPO Glow technology to make the back cover look glossy while giving it a matte-in-hand feel that is fingerprint- and stain-resistant.

Oppo says that the Rainbow Spectrum version of the 5G variant will give a dazzling rainbow appearance by using a three-layer texture and a two-layer coating manufacturing process, while the 4G variant’s Sunset Orange variant is said to have a Fiberglass-Leather design on its back which also doubles as a frameless battery cover to make the phone thin, light and durable.

Oppo tells us that it used the lychee-grain leather for the base material on Sunset Orange because it is waterproof, wear-resistant, and has a plush feel.

However, Oppo has not specified whether the F21 Pro 5G will also have a leather design version as well.

Apart from this, Oppo hasn’t revealed any of the specifications details of the upcoming phones yet. However, but the poster picture of the F21 Pro 4G shared by the company reveal that the handset will sport a triple camera system on the back including a 64MP primary sensor. One of these cameras will also have Orbit Light around them to alert users of incoming calls, new notifications, and more.

Reports have suggested that the F21 Pro 4G could be a rebranded Reno7 4G. So we can expect the upcoming smartphone to have the Snapdragon 680 SoC, 6.43″ 90Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display, Android 11-based ColorOS 12.1, in-display fingerprint reader, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 33W charging.
