Oppo A36 launched with Snapdragon 680 SoC, 5,000mAh battery: Check price, specifications
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo has launched Oppo A36 as the company’s latest budget smartphone in the home country. The smartphone has been launched under the Oppo A series. The budget phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, dual rear camera setup and a 5,000mAh battery. The phone comes in a single RAM + storage configuration.
Meanwhile, the Chinese company is expected to launch the Oppo A16K in India soon. Oppo A16K is s powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and was recently launched in the Philippines.
Oppo A36 price and availability
Oppo A36 price is set at CNY 1,599 (around Rs 18,549) for the single 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage option. However, customers can get the Oppo phone with a pre-sale price of CNY 1,499 (around Rs 17,389). It is available for pre-booked on Oppo Shop and the phone will go on sale from January 14. It is launched in two colour options — Cloudy Black and Qingchuan Blue (translated).
Oppo A36 specifications
Oppo A36 comes equipped with a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout that is placed at the top left corner. It runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 with some software-level modes.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage that supports storage expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
The handset sports a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait camera. It also has an LED flash in the rectangular module. For selfies and video calls, the phone features an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. Oppo has claimed that the phone has gone through strict physical tests including 20,000 USB plugs and unplugs, 150,000 volume rocker clicks, and 500,000 power button clicks.
