New Delhi: Popular tech-tipster Ishan Agarwal in one of his latest tweets suggested that the OnePlus TV may launch sooner than OnePlus initially hinted earlier in the year.
With this new smart TV, Chinese mobile maker OnePlus aims to compete with the already established rivals in this category, including Xiaomi’s Mi TV 4 series of smart TVs in India.

With the OnePlus TV, OnePlus is planning to offer a completely different smart TV experience. The company had earlier hinted that the TV will form a core part of the smart home experience. This indicated that the OnePlus TV will act as the smart home hub device, enabling users to integrate it with other smart appliances.
It is being expected that OnePlus phones will play a major role to connect with the TV to offer an overall smart experience.
It was also reported that the OnePlus TV will rely on an LCD panel instead of an OLED panel. Therefore, the OnePlus TV could be positioned as a more affordable alternative to the premium smart TVs from Samsung, LG and Sony.
Launch:
OnePlus TV is currently rumoured to launch later this year. In fact, Ishan Agarwal said the OnePlus TV could launch soon, which hints at a launch date within a few months.
However, this is still a rumour and there could be chances that this may not happen. Thus, we should rely on the original information from the company which promised the TV by mid-2020.
Price:
It is expected that the OnePlus TV could be priced around Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000- a range where it could rival the premium Xiaomi Mi TV series in India.
