OnePlus RT expected to launch in India in December; Check launch, specs details

OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch a new flagship smartphone in India soon. According to reports by 91mobiles, the OnePlus RT might debut in India alongside OnePlus Buds Z2 TWS earbuds in December.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal has hinted that the OnePlus RT could be coming to the Indian market in December. Apart from this, an Amazon ad has also hinted towards its imminent launch.

The OnePlus RT is said to be rebranded version of the OnePlus 9RT, which was launched in China earlier this year.

The tipster has also said that the Chinese company could also bring the OnePlus Buds Z2 to the Indian market in the same time frame. The upcoming budget earbuds could come with a new in-ear design and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

According to the tipster, the OnePlus RT will come in two colour options –Nano Silver and Hacker Black, while the Buds Z2 will be available in Obsidian Black and Pearl White colours options.

OnePlus RT specifications

The OnePlus 9 RT or OnePlus RT comes equipped with a 6.62-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification, and a 600Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the phone have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

For photography, the phone sports a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50MP Sony IMX766 lens, a 16MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, there is a 16MP front camera for selfies.

The device packs a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.

OnePlus Buds Z2 specifications 

OnePlus Buds Z2 comes with a new in-ear design. The buds come with an in-ear silicone tips instead of hard plastic tips. The Buds Z2 has Active Noise Cancellation feature that is claimed to block out noises up to 40db, thanks to 3microphones on each of the earbuds.

The second-generation Buds Z earbuds come with AAC and SBC Bluetooth codec support along with support for BLE, SPP, HFP, A2DP, and AVRCP Bluetooth transmission protocols.

The new earbuds has support for Bluetooth 5.2, 11mm, dynamic drivers. The new earbuds supports fast pairing and they are compatible with OnePlus devices like OnePlus 6 and onwards.

The IP55 rating makes the Buds Z2 is splashproff and the charging case is IPX4 certified.

The new earbuds is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of battery life with ANC turned on, and turning off ANC would add 2 more hours to the listening time. The buds support Warp Charge, which is said to last you up to 5 hours of listening time with just 10 minutes of charge.
