OnePlus Nord 2T set to launch on May 19: Check expected price, specs and features

OnePlus has confirmed to launch its latest smartphone Nord 2T 5G in Europe along with OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G  and Nord Buds on May 19. The company made the announcement via a video on its official OnePlus UK twitter page. The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G is expected to be coming in India the same day.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to come with MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and 50-megapixel primary camera. The video posted by OnePlus shows the device in two colour options-black and green. This aligns with the previous reports that revealed the key specifications of the upcoming phone.

Though, the company has not made any official announcement regrading the launch of OnePlus Nord 2T in India, tipster Mukul Sharma has shared a screenshot of an upcoming OnePlus event on May 19. So, we expect the device to arrive in India on the same as Europe. Moreover, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord Buds have already been unveiled in India, suggesting that only the OnePlus Nord 2T will debut in the country on May 19.

The European variant of the Nord 2T is likely to be available in two RAM variants — 8GB and 12GB. The smartphone might come at a starting price of $399 (roughly around Rs 31,000).

OnePlus Nord 2T Specifications

The upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T  is expected to sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device will have a punch-hole cut out at the front for the selfie camera.

The Nord 2T may feature a triple-camera on the back, with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS support. The other two cameras will likely be an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP monochrome sensor, said reports. On the front, the Nord 2T will have a 32 MP camera sensor for selfies and video call.

The phone could pack a 4,500mAh battery unit that is expected to have support 80W charging. It is likely to run on Oxygen OS 12 based on Android 12.
