OnePlus Nord 2 gets a new OxygenOS update to fix image sharing issue

OnePlus is reportedly rolling out a new OxygenOS to fix the image sharing issue seen in the OnePlus Nord 2 after it received a minor update featuring the Android security patches for February 2022.

The company recently rolled out a minor update that introduced an bug that freezes the device when sharing images in the Gallery app. Yesterday, OnePlus officially acknowledged the issue in a post on its community forums yesterday and announced that it would release a fix in about a week.

The company also shared a temporary workaround to help users avoid the bug for the meantime. Now, the company has introduced a new minor update that comes with the fix that will addresses the bug, reported XDA developers.

A OnePlus Nord 2 user shared a screenshot on OnePlus’ community forums of the supposed OxygenOS update. As per the screenshot, the latest OxygenOS update (v A.18) for the device fixes the freezing issue when sharing pictures in Gallery. The update has a 167MB size and doesn’t have other changes.

However, the company has not shared any official information about this update. But, report suggested that it is being rolling out to a small fraction of Nord 2 users currently and the other users should be getting it in the coming days.

The eligible users should receive a OTA notification on their device about the update when they receive it.
