OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G spotted on BIS certification site, may launch soon

OnePlus’s upcoming smartphone ‘Nord 2 CE 5G’ is expected to launch in India soon. The smartphone has been spotted in the database of the BIS certification website. Which means, we can expect the company to unveil the smartphone soon. The Nord 2 CE 5G will be the successor of  OnePlus Nord CE 5G, that was launched in June earlier this year.

The phone was listed with the model number IV2201 on the certification site. However, the listing does not reveal many details about the upcoming smartphone.

But, earlier leaks have revealed some of OnePlus Nord 2 CE’s design and specifications.

Earlier reports have suggested that the smartphone will likely have a similar design as the OnePlus 9 series. The device is expected to feature an AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also said to feature a similar design as the OnePlus 9 series.

The device may come with a punch-hole display, which is the same as the OnePlus 9 series. OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G is said to run on Android 12 operating system topped with OxygenOS 12.  The handset is said to come powered by a MediaTek processor, MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, paired with up to 12GB Ram and 256GB storage.

The handset is expected to be available in three RAM configuration- 6GB RAM, 8GB  and 12GB. The on-board storage capacity will vary from 128GB to 256GB.

Talking about its camera specification, the phone may sport a a triple rear camera set up with 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it may have a 16MP camera at the front. The device is said to support 65W fast charging.

Another online report have revealed that the company may set the price of the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the OnePlus phone under Rs 28,000. OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G in the first quarter of 2022.
