OnePlus Nord 2 5G Explosion !User who suffered severe burns will get refund and medical expenses: Report

OnePlus will reportedly give refund to a OnePlus Nord 2 5G user who suffered from severe burn injuries caused by an alleged sudden explosion of the smartphone inside his pant pocket.

As per reports, OnePlus has issued a refund for the blast and has promised to pay for the victim’s medical expenses.

Earlier last week, a twitter user shared that an OnePlus Nord 2 allegedly exploded and caused severe injuries to the owner.

The company responded to the tweet and promised to investigate the incident.

Now, the report from MySmartPrice, has revealed that the company will refund and take care of the user’s medical expenses. The reports also added that the company’s operational head is also said to be in contact with the victim for assistance.

However, OnePlus has not yet confirmed any details on the matter. The user who reported the incident on Twitter has also not shared any updates on the compensation. However, he did mention earlier that the company was in “constant touch” and is working on the case. These type of incidents makes the users anxious about their safety.

This is not the first time where OnePlus Nord 2 5G allegedly exploded. Prior to this, similar cases were also reported.

Weeks after OnePlus Nord 2 5G’s launch in India, a user alleged that the phone exploded after a few days of its purchase.However, the company responded that the incident was caused due to  external factors and not due to any manufacturing or product issue.

Soon after that, a Delhi-based advocate alleged that his OnePlus Nord 2 5G exploded in his gown. But, when the company reached him for investigation he did not cooperate with the team. Later, the company sent a legal notice to the affected user and claimed that he had “malicious and mala fide intent” to harm its reputation.
