Earlier indications hinted that the OnePlus is shutting down in global markets. This information started spreading after a AI-aided report hit the web claiming that OnePlus would be winding down. At that time, OnePlus had shut down the report.
Now reports have stated that OnePlus is “evaluating” its future in Europe, among other changes.
Meanwhile, the company is expected to continue it’s operations in India and China. Reports have also stated that the OnePlus could be reduced to become a mere sub-brand of Oppo, focusing on low-priced smartphones and tablets.
The western inventory will likely be cleared out and the parent company Oppo will expand into new markets in Europe, presumably to take over the spots left by OnePlus withdrawal.
The company will continue providing updates and support for existing OnePlus devices until the end of their respective lifecycles.
