OnePlus 9 Series Set To Launch On March 23, Tie-Up With Hasselblad Announced

OnePlus has finally announced on Monday that the OnePlus 9 series will be launched on March 23 at 10 AM ET (Eastern Time). The company declared the launch date of OnePlus 9 series while announcing its partnership with camera manufacturer Hasselblad.

The Chinese company has not confirmed the models of the OnePlus 9 series but rumoured suggest it to have three models which are expected to be vanilla model OnePlus 9, the top-end OnePlus 9 Pro, and the affordable OnePlus 9e.

Previously, the OnePlus 9e was rumoured to be called as OnePlus 9R.

The company also announced that with the partnership with camera manufacturer Hasselblad the company will deliver an enhanced camera experience on the OnePlus 9 series.

Hasselblad also promised to invest $150 million (around Rs 1,094 crores) over the next three years for improving cameras on its phones.

“By partnering with OnePlus, we hope to put Hasselblad’s iconic design and outstanding image quality in the hands of more people and share our passion for incredible photography,” said Jon Diele, Vice President, Hasselblad.

OnePlus Founder & CEO Pete Lau also tweeted about the partnership with Hasselblad and said, “It all begins with a simple thought. Discover the #OnePlus9Series, co-developed with @Hasselblad, on March 23”.

OnePlus 9 Series Launch Details:

The OnePlus 9 series will be launched through a virtual event on March 23 at 10am ET (7:30pm IST). The event will be live-streamed on the official  OnePlus website.

The OnePlus 9 series is expected to include three models in the series- OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and the OnePlus 9e.

OnePlus 9 Series Camera Details:

The OnePlus 9 Series will use a custom Sony IMX789 sensor for the largest and most advanced main camera sensor.

with 12-bit RAW, the picture will be up to 64-times more colourful than before, The camera will deliver more dynamic and vibrant colours in pictures and giving professional photographers more room for additional post editing.

The camera also has Freeform lens for Minimal Distortion in Ultra-Wide Pictures. The camera will also have T-lens Technology for Faster Focus in the Front-facing Camera

Apart from this, the camera will also offer improved HDR video recording, as well as support for capturing 4K 120FPS and 8K 30FPS video.
