There are a lot of rumours and leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 9 series flagships smartphone ahead of its release and that’s just hyping consumer’s interest towards the phone series.

OnePlus 9 specification and features:

The OnePlus 9 line up will be the next flagship series after the OnePlus 8 series.

Design:

OnePlus 9 series will feature a 6.5-inch QHD+ AMOLED Panel display with 120Hz refresh rate support however, OnePlus 9 Pro will get a larger 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED Panel.

As per image shared by a Chinese blog, the OnePlus 9 will be a purported device with a curved display and silver color front and rear. However, some previous leaks had previously suggested a flat display on the OnePlus 9.

The rear of the device will likely feature a glass finish same as the previous OnePlus flagships, as per the leaked images.

Processor:

As per the processor concerns, OnePlus 9 lineup will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship octa-core chipset Snapdragon 888 SoC.

The chipset is clocked at 2.84GHz and coupled with Adreno 660GPU. The chipset comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X60 5G modem with WiFi 6E/6 and WiFi 5 compatibility.

The Spectra 580 ISP image signal processor installed on this SoC will help to improve image processing.

Storage:

Like the OnePlus 8, the 9 Series lineup is expected to sport three different RAM and storage variants. In base storage will be 6GB RAM/128GB expandable storage and the other two variant will be 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB of RAM for storage.

Camera:

The OnePlus 9 will showcase a quad-camera setup and a sensor for autofocus. The camera module will be rectangular. Leaks suggest the quard-camera set-up to sport a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel Ultra wide sensor and a third unknown sensor. For selfies, the device may get a 16-megapixel camera on the front.

Battery:

OnePlus 9 series will be powered with a 4500mAh battery with a 65W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging support.

As per the suggestion of a leak OnePlus 9 Pro will be able to survive for 30 minutes if it was submerged in 1.5m deep water as it will be likely come as a IP68 certified device.

OnePlus 9 India launch

OnePlus 9 Series is expected to launch around April or May. However, there is no official notification of upcoming OnePlus 9 series.

However, a report recently claimed that the device might see an early launch in March 2021
