OnePlus 7 Series And OnePlus 7T Series Smartphones Receiving Android 11 Stable Updates

OnePlus has finally started rolling out the stable Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update for it 7 series and 7T series smartphones, according to reports.

The OnePlus 7 comes with the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro while the OnePlus 7T series comes with the OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro.

The long-awaited stable version of the latest Android 11- based OxygenOS 11 comes with an updated UI, updated dark mode, and the latest Android security patch from February 2021.

Both the updates are around 2.6GB in size and carry the same changelog (thread).

The Android 11 update brings a new UI, an improved Dark Mode, new Weather widget, updated Gallery app with story feature, and new Game Space features.

As per reports, the update optimises stability of some third-party applications. The UI update includes new visual design and camera UI update. The camera update reduces the video storage size with HEVC codec.

With the new Android 11 update has also improved the Dark Mode and added a shortcut in the quick settings shade. Users will be able to set a time for when Dark Mode automatically turns on and off.

The new Game Space features comes with a new tools box to allow users to quickly switch on Fnatic Mode to avoid distractions. The new update brings a quick reply feature for social media apps such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram which allows users to opens the app in a small window for a quick reply.

The new updated Gallery app with story feature creates a story from the weekly videos and photos in the Gallery. The image preview speed has been improved as well.

The company has also released the February 2021 Android security patch with the Android 11 update for the OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 7T series.
