OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 9RT in India last week. Now, new leaks about the OnePlus 10R has started surfacing on the internet. According to Android Central, this OnePlus phone will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.

While this wouldn’t be the first OnePlus phone to launch with a MediaTek chip, the device would be the first time a phone from the brand’s flagship line features one.

So far, OnePlus has stuck to Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets for its flagship phones, while only the Nord 2 5G had the Dimensity 1200.

The OnePlus 9RT just launched in India as a successor of sorts to the 9R, but apparently there’s going to be a 10R too later this year.

OnePlus is also reportedly planning to launch a vanilla OnePlus 10 alongside the 10 Pro global markets in April.

The OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the OnePlus 10R will go with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 instead.

The OnePlus 10R is also expected to be a region-specific launch. So, like the OnePlus 9R and the OnePlus 9RT, this may not be available in all regions.

According to reports, the OnePlus 10R will arrive in China and India with a 120 Hz AMOLED display, and “at least” 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The OnePlus 10R should be in stores in those markets at the end of Q2, 2022. Let us tell you that the phone could have launched earlier, but the launch of the OnePlus 9RT in India have delayed its arrival. The 9RT was reportedly initially scheduled for an October launch in India, but OxygenOS 12 bugs caused the phone to launch on January 14.
