Nokia XR20 with military-grade durability, 48MP main camera launched in India; Check price, specs

Nokia XR20 was launched in India on Monday. The Nokia XR20 has been designed and built to survive through the frequent drops, splashes and tumbles of daily usage.

Nokia XR20 smartphone comes with a military grade resilience along with four years of monthly security updates, the latest software upgrades for up to three years, and future-proofed 5G.

The new Nokia phone comes with a military-grade design that is touted to survive in extreme temperatures ranging from 55-degrees to 20-degrees Celsius, steepest of drops measuring up to 1.8-metre, and for one hour under water. You can also wash it with soap and water if it gets dirty.

The Nokia XR20 is claimed to offer up to two-day battery life and supports 15W Qi wireless charging and 18W fast charging.

Nokia XR20 Price in India and availability

The Nokia XR20 price in India is set at Rs 46,999 for the single 6GB RAM+ 128GB storage configuration. The phone will be available for purchase in Ultra Blue and Granite colour options across leading offline retail stores, e-commerce platforms and Nokia.com from 30 October, 2021.

The smartphone will be available for pre-booking from 20-29 October, 2021. Furthermore, customers who pre-book the smartphone can avail free gifts such as a Nokia Power Earbuds Lite worth Rs 3,599, and One year of screen protection plan.

HMD Global also announced that pre-booking Nokia X20 will also bring one year of screen protection plan for free to customers.

Nokia XR20 Specifications

The Nokia XR20 runs on Android 11 with a stock experience on top. It features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,400 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It has MIL-STD810H-certified build that has an IP68 certification for dust- and water-resistance.

The phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The Nokia XR20 comes equipped with dual camera setup including an 48-megapixel ZEISS primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide shooter for excellent portraits or broad landscape shots. The camera module has two flashes. Furthermore, it has an all-new SpeedWarp mode lets you capture a whole lot of adventure in a compact, exciting montage. The phone also includes an Action Cam mode that the company has claimed to help capture stable footage.

Nokia XR20 is also paired with OZO spatial audio recording support with wind-noise cancellation that will help you capture videos without any unwanted sounds interrupting. It also has stereo speakers that are paired with QZO Playback support.

The phone is backed by a 4,630mAh battery that supports up to 18W wired and 15W wireless (Qi standard) charging.

The connectivity features of the new Nokia phone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NavIC, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
