Nokia 9 with 5 cameras launch pushed to next year

Nokia 9, the flagship smartphone from HMD Global with penta camera setup is expected to be launched in 2019. Previously it was rumoured to be launched in the end of 2018. Pictures of Nokia 9 are making rounds on the internet as the upcoming smartphone is coming with a distinct feature. The smartphone has 5 rear cameras.

The leaked images of Nokia 9 show 7 rings on the back of the phone. 5 rings (4 on the bottom & 1 on the top) are occupied by camera lenses. The top left ring is for LED flash and the top right ring is rumoured to be some dual sensor. The purpose of this dual sensor is not clear. The 7 rings with cameras and sensor brands ZEISS. The brand logo of NOKIA is clearly visible on the back display.

The volume up and down button with power button is on the right side of the phone. The back side of the smartphone is made of glass. And the frame is made of metal. The corners of the phone will be curved.

The front camera of the phone can click pictures of 12 megapixels while the rear camera clicks 22 megapixels. The device is both water and dust resistant.

There is no notch or camera hole on the front display of the phone. The phone will sport 6 inch display with resolution of 1440 *2560 pixels. The device will include 4 GB of RAM which can be extended more upto8 GB and 64 GB of internal storage which can be available in variants up to 256 GB. Nokia 9 will pack a 4,150 mAh battery.

The device was proposed to be powered by snapdragon 845 SoC, while HMD Global is working on to bring in the new Snapdragon 855 SoC on board.

The phone was supposed to be launched this year; however it will be launched next year as the company is reportedly working to develop its penta lens camera.
