New Delhi: Carmaker Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday announced the launch of the latest version of Ertiga in India. The yet-to-be-launched vehicle comes with a starting price tag of Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and offers enhanced design and cabin features. The Diesel variant of Ertiga 2018 has been priced at Rs. 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 is 99mm longer, 40mm wider and 5mm taller than its predecessor, offering spacious shoulder room and headroom. The third row will have increased leg space with individually reclining seats and boot space of 153-litre.
Externally, the new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga looks brand new with sleeker headlamps, chrome garnished grille and better looking L-shaped tail lamp clusters. It also has a floating roof profile and a premium 20-spoke alloy wheels.
The model looks all-new inside as well with a revised dual-tone dashboard that features a seven-inch floating touchscreen display. The vehicle gets new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) system. It churns out 105PS of power and 138Nm of peak torque.
Dual airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors are some of the other standard safety features of the new Ertiga.
While the petrol variants of the car are available in both manual and automatic transmission, the diesel comes with manual only. The diesel variants have been claimed to return 25.47kmpl and the petrol ones have been said to deliver 19.34kmpl and 18.69kmpl with manual and automatic transmission respectively.
