Netflix Begins Testing Of New Rs 299 Mobile+ Plan In India; Offers HD Streaming Service

Netflix is reportedly testing the new Rs 299 per month Mobile + plan in India. The new plan lets users stream high-definition (HD) 720p video as well as streaming service to their computers only for Rs 299 per month in India.

Currently, the cheapest plan by Netflix is priced at Rs. 199 and it allows users to stream the standard -definition (SD) 480p video only in mobile. While the Standard plan which is priced at Rs 649 and offers full-HD 1080p video and viewers can also stream videos on computer, TV, consoles, and smart devices.

While the new Rs 299 plan lets viewers stream high definition videos on mobile and computers including PC, Mac, and Chromebook. However, this plan do not allow streaming on your TV, console or smart device.

This is not the first time Netflix has tested the Mobile + plan in India. In July last year, the company had come up with a similar plan for Rs. 349. However, that plan was not massively rolled-out as customer don’t liked the plan.

Now let’s see whether customers like the new Netflix Mobile + plan. .

Like the  new Rs 299 plan of Netflix, Amazon also launched a Prime Video Mobile Edition plan at a price of Rs 89 per month. The plan was launched in January this year.

Netflix’s new Rs. 299 Mobile + plan is currently being tested with select customers, so it may not currently available on the company’s website.
