Xiaomi Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain has announced that the Mi 11 series will launch in India on April 23.
The Mi 11 series debuted with the vanilla Mi 11 in China in December 2020. Later it was globally launched on February 8. The Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Pro phones were launched last month in China.
The Mi 11 Ultra was the only phone teased to launch in India on April 23 earlier, but it seems like multiple Mi 11 series phones will be launching alongside.
The Mi 11 series debuted in China in December last year with the vanilla Mi 11, which was then globally launched on February 8. Late last month, the Mi 11 Ultra and two more Mi 11 series phones were launched in China.
Xiaomi VP has hinted that “not 1, but many Mi phones” with Snapdragon 888 SoC will be launching in India. And we assume that it will be the Mi 11 series.
The Mi 11 series has five phones such as Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11i. Out of the five phones, four handset are powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC. Only the Mi 11 Lite phone in the series is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC.
Currently, the Mi 11 Ultra is the only phone that has been confirmed to launch in the India on April 23.
The Mi 11 Ultra launched in China with dual display that includes a 6.81-inch 2K WQHD+ E4 AMOLED quad-curved primary display and a 1.1-inch AMOLED secondary display at the back.
Mi 11 Ultra is tipped to have a starting price of over Rs 70,000 in India.
The Mi 11 Ultra was launched with a starting price of CNY 5,999 (around Rs 67,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration in China. It has a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option which is priced at CNY 6,499 (around Rs 72,600) and the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant costs CNY 6,999 (around Rs. 78,200).
