Mahindra’s New XUV300 To Be Launched In February 2019

New Delhi: Indian Car Manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the launch of its new SUV titled XUV300 ( XUV Three Double ‘O’) in February next year. The 4-metre SUV will be launched in both petrol as well as diesel variants.

The SUV is built on the X-100 platform, which has produced SsangYong Tivoli. Mahindra XUV 300’s body characteristics are said to be inspired by a ‘Cheetah’, a silhoutte that also features in the XUV500.

Pawan Goenka, M&M Managing Director said, “We have given some very advanced and unique features in our XUV300. So, within the compact SUV segment, we are going to position it as the premium product.”

In an official statement, the company said that the 5-seater XUV300 will be manufactured at M&M’s Nashik facility.

Goenka added that the company plans to launch the new vehicle in one two overseas markets as well along with its roll out in the domestic market.

He also informed that the company is working on an electric version of the new compact SUV, which is expected to hit the market in 2020. The new Mahindra XUV300 is expected to rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara, Brezza, Tata Nexon and the upcoming Nissan Kicks.
