Lava has launched a new entry-level smartphone called ‘Lava X2’. The smartphone comes with an HD+ display and comes equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek processor. The smartphone is priced under 7,000.

Price and availability

Lava X2 is price in India is set at Rs 6,999. The pre-order of the smartphone has already started on Amazon India website. The company is also offering a discount of Rs 400 for customers who book the Lava X2 ahead of its sale. This cuts down the price down to Rs 6,599. The pre-booking will go on till March 11.

The smartphone in available in Blue and Cyan colour options. Interested customers can buy the device from Amazon, and the Lava e-store from March 12.

Lava X2 specifications

Lava X2 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 20:9 aspect ratio and has a waterdrop style notch on the front to house the selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by an unidentified octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device is expected to runs Android operating system as Lava has not specified the operating system that runs the Lava X2.

For storage, the device has up to 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further for more storage space via a microSD card.
Talking about its camera specs, the Lava X2 features a dual camera setup at the back. The camera setup houses an 8MP main sensor along with an unnamed secondary camera. The handset packs a 5MP front shooter for selfies.

The dual SIM smartphone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that is claimed to takes 3.45 hours for a full charge with the bundled adapter. As per the company, the phone offers up to 38 hours of talk time on 4G networks and 10.5 hours of YouTube playback at full display brightness on a single charge.

The smartphone will likely compete with the Tecno Pop 5 LTE which comes in the same price category. The Pop 5 LTE smartphone is priced at Rs 6,799 and comes equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ display, 5000 mAh battery and 8MP dual rear camera.

    Lava launching budget smartphones with Mediatek chipsets is a good news. These smartphones can do well for basic buyers.

    They mentioned it on Amazon that the smartphone contains Helio A25 chipset and it looks good enough for the users.
