Lava has introduced another budget-friendly smartphone in India named -‘Blaze 2’. The entry-level Lava Blaze 2 is priced at Rs 8,999. It has a premium glass finish and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and a massive 6.5 inch punch-hole display.

Lava Blaze 2 will rival budget offerings by Redmi, Motorola and Realme in the same price segment.

Priced at Rs 8,999, the smartphone will be available for purchase in two colours — Glass Orange and Glass Blue from online stores from April 18.

The smartphone will be available via Amazon and Lava India channels.

Display

The Blaze 2 features a 6.5-inch (16.51 cm) HD+ IPS Display with 2.5D Curved Screen and supports Anonymous and Auto call recording. The display has a 90 Hz refresh rate.

Processor and storage

Lava Blaze 2 is powered by a Unisoc T616 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM, which is expandable by an additional 5GB of virtual RAM. It has 128GB of internal storage. The phone does not support 5G connectivity.

Battery

The device packs a 5000 mAh battery along with a built-in 18W fast charger and Type C charging port.

Camera

The smartphone comes with 13MP AI Dual Camera and an 8MP camera for selfies with inbuilt camera features including — Beauty, HDR, Night, Portrait, AI, Pro, Panorama, Slow Motion, Filters, Motion Photo, Time Lapse, Audio Note and Intelligent Scanning.

Other features

The Lava Blaze 2 also features dual-mic noise cancellation for a superior calling experience and a side fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth version 5.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac. The device weighs 203 grams and measures 164.96×76.1×8.6mm.

Software update
Lava Blaze 2 runs on Android 12 operating system. The company claims to offer a “bloat-free Android experience” with the phone. Furthermore, the company has promised to offer upgrade to Android 13 and two years of security updates.
