JioPhone Next: Much-awaited budget 4G Android smartphone to be launched today; Check details

Reliance Jio‘s much-awaited budget JioPhone Next will go on sale on the occasion of Diwali (November 4) in the Indian Market. JioPhone Next is said to be world’s cheapest Android-based 4G smartphone. It is made in collaboration of Google and Jio Platforms.

JioPhone Next runs on Pragati OS. The operating system is powered by an optimised version of Android. The Pragati OS comes with many feature including translating message text on the screen in 10 Indian languages.

Realinace has confirmed that JioPhone Next will come with a price of only Rs 6,499. Interested customers can pre-book the phone at an upfront payment of Rs 1,999 and you can get it at multiple equated monthly instalments (EMIs) by paying as low as Rs 300.

Reliance Jio has introduced four plans with which you can buy the JioPhone Next.

JioPhone Next can be pre-booked at Reliance Retail’s JioMart Digital stores or on Jio’s website or on WhatsApp.

JioPhone Next Specifications

The JioPhone Next comes with a dual SIM option. It will feature a 5.5-inch display with 720×1440 pixels resolution, 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. The JioPhone Next will be the segment first device to get Gorilla Glass protection. The JioPhone Next is powered by Pragati OS which is an optimised version of Android along with a RAM of 2GB.

The Jio phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor. The device has 32GB of storage, which is great for an entry level smartphone. The phone will have a 3500mAh battery, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, and dual Nano SIM.
