JioBook: Low-Cost Laptop By Reliance Jio Currently Under Development

New Delhi: Telecom service provider Reliance Jio has emerged as one of the major company in the Indian telecom sector. Jio has also successfully proved his mettle in producing cost affective smartphones as JioPhone models have become a hit among customers.

Now, the telecom giant is preparing to step into laptop market with its low-cost laptop called ‘JioBook’ reported XDA developers. The reports also suggested that JioBook will have the support for 4G LTE.

Considering the reputation of Jio to provide affordable product and services, the JioBook can be a major breakthrough in Indian laptop market. Jio will partner with Chinese manufacture Bluebank Communication in order to develop the laptop.

On the specifications front, the JioBook will have a display of 1,366×768 pixels and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC along with Snapdragon X12 4G modem. The laptop will have two variants of 2GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The other connectivity features include a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Jio apps such as JioStore, JioMeet, and JioPages will be pre-installed on the JioBook. However, the details about price and availability of Jio Book is yet to be revealed.
