JioBook appears on Geekbench listing: Expected price, specs and other details

Reliance Jio’s laptop, JioBook has reportedly been appeared on Geekbench listing with MediaTek MT8788 SoC. As per the listing, Jiobook is likely to run Android 11 and will have a 2GB RAM.

The JioBook was also spotted on Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. It was listed with three different model numbers tha5t means it could come in multiple variants.

Earlier reports have tipped that Reliance Jio’s laptop will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with a Snapdragon X12 4G modem.

According to a report of MySmartPrice, JioBook has been spotted on Geekbench with the model number NB1112MM. JioBook has been listed with a MediaTek MT8788 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The site also posted the core test score of the laptop. As per reports, it scored 1,178 points in single-core and 4,246 points in multi-core tests.

JioBook may run on Android 11

The listing suggests that the device runs on Android 11. However, an earlier leak has suggested that the JioBook laptop will run a custom JioOS on top of Android.

JioBook is expected to come in multiple variants

Earlier this year, the JioBpook was lsited with NB1112MM model number on BIS listing. BIS also listed two more model numbers –NB1118QMW, and NB1148QMW along with JioBook. So we expect that Reliance Jio may launch the laptop in three different variants.

Price of the Reliance JioBook laptop

Reliance JioBook laptop is likely to be a budget device. Though there are no information about the device’s price, it is likely to be priced under Rs 35,000 as it is said to be a budget device. The company seems to attract users who want laptops for online classes, internet browsing and other basic computing needs.

JioBook specifications (leaked)

Earleir, XDADevelopers had tipped some key specifications of the Reliance Jio laptop. The JioBook will feature an HD display with 1,366×768 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, it was tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC along with a Snapdragon X12 4G modem. The processor is expected to come coupled with up to 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 64GB of eMMC onboard storage. Connectivity options on the laptop will reportedly include a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

JioBook is said to come pre-installed with apps such as JioStore, JioMeet, and JioPages along with Microsoft apps such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Edge, and Office.
