iQOO Z6 Pro 5G: Next mid-range smartphone by iQOO with Snapdragon 778G SoC to launch on April 27

Smartphone maker iQOO is all set to launch its next smartphone iQOO Z6 Pro 5G smartphone in India. The launch date for the upcoming device is April 27.  The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G smartphone will be the elder sibling of the iQOO Z6 that is already launched by the company last month in India. The iQOO Z6 is powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC while the upcoming iQOO Z6 Pro 5G gets a  Snapdragon 778G SoC.

The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G will be available on Amazon and will be under a price bracket of Rs 25,000. The presence of Snapdragon 778G SoC ensures that the device is meant for smartphone gamers who are planning for a mid-range device.

The company has also teased certain important features of the device on a dedicated webpage on Amazon. Apart from iQOO’s official website, the device will go on sale via Amazon India, confirmed the company.

According to the company, the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G will be the fastest smartphone in the 25k segment.   The smartphone scores 550K+ AnTuTu Score. The 778G 5G processor is a 6nm processor and offers 40 percent more CPU performance and 40 percent GPU performance.

The device is expected to offer an OLED display with support for 90Hz refresh rate. It will offer a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.

When it comes to optics, the smartphone could come with a triple rear camera setup along with a 64MP primary sensor. The other cameras at the back are expected to be 8MP ultra-wide lens and macro lens.

In terms of memory, the smartphone is expected to offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of Storage. Just like the iQOO Z5 5G we, expect an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage base variant. The battery of the device is expected to be 5000mAh along with 66W FlashCharge with Liquid Cooling.

Out of the box the device is expected to run on the Android 12-based Funtouch OS. Most probably, the device will offer 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of Security updates.
