The monthly fee may vary from $0.99 to $99.99, and creators can select the price point for their subscriptions.

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said in a video posted on Twitter that “Subscriptions are for creators. Creators do what they do to make a living and it’s important that it is predictable.”

The tech giant said that this feature will help creators form a deeper connections with their followers and boost engagement on the site.

“With Instagram Subscriptions, creators can develop deeper connections with their most engaged followers and grow their recurring monthly income by giving subscribers access to exclusive content and benefits, all within the same platform where they interact with them already.” Instagram stated in a blog post.

Instagram has been working on this key feature for a while now with an aim to help its influencers to earn money through their work on its platform and make a living out of content creation.
