HTC Desire 22 Pro with Viverse compatibility and Snapdragon 695 SoC launched

HTC has launched the Desire 22 Pro as the latest offering from the Taiwanese maker. The new HTC smartphone features a Snapdragon 695 chipset and has a 4,520 mAh battery. It has a starting price of TWD 11,990.


HTC Desire 22 Pro comes with a 6.6-inch 120Hz LCD and is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with up to 8GB Ram. It’s compatible with HTC’s Viverse ecosystem and HTC VR products like the HTC Vive Flow headset. The smartphone runs on Android 12.

The Viverse compatibility that gives you access o virtual content from the Metaverse via the phone and a connected HTC VR headset. HTC is also bringing its Viverse Wallet to help you manage digital assets like cryptocurrencies and NFTs directly from the phone. It packs a 4,520 mAh battery that supports 18W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging.

Desire 22 Pro features a 64MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture alongside a 13MP ultrawide lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 5MP depth of field module. The phone sports a 32MP f/2.0 selfie cam on the front housed inside a punch hole cutout. The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is expandable via microSD.

. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and IP67 water and dust resistance.

Price and availability

HTC Desire 22 Pro is available in gold and black color options. The phone costs TWD 11,990 (around Rs 31,811) in Taiwan and €459/£399 in Europe. The device will go on sales in Taiwan starting from July 1 via online and offline channels while EU buyers can place their pre-orders today and receive the phone from August 1.

The company is offering some exclusive freebies to early-bird buyers if they order before July 31 including an HTC shockproof case, an HTC wireless charger and an exclusive NFT gift which can be redeemed via the Viverse app.
