How to use Indian languages on WhatsApp, Step-by-step process here

Meta-owned instant-messaging app, WhatsApp which has over 390 million users in India, now supports 11 Indian language. The instant messaging app has billions of users worldwide. Because of a diverse user base speaking various languages in various countries, the platform has refined its language policy and now supports more than 60 languages on Android and 40 on iOS.

WhatsApp supports several regional languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Marathi, and more. Now, with this, you can communicate with your friends and family members in the language you are most comfortable with.

However, users can not change the language of the keyboard via the WhatsApp settings, but changing the language of your phone. By changing the language setting of your phone, the other apps will also be affected along with whatsApp.

How to change the language and use it on WhatsApp

To change the language settings of your phone, first go to ‘Settings.

Then navigate to System >>Languages & Input.

Choose a virtual keyboard and a keyboard (G Board or any other keyboard from Play Store). Change the language to your preferred one.

Now, open WhatsApp and select the language and keyboard you want to use. You can also choose between keyboards based on the language.

Go to Play Store and search for a keyboard that supports the language you want to communicate with.

Download the app after checking its authenticity and allow full keyboard access during the setup.

Open WhatsApp and select your preferred keyboard.

You can also use the Google Translate app to translate the text as you type. To do that, you need to download the Google Translate app, then go to the Menu > Settings > Tap to Translate.
