Honda Launches New City Variant At Rs. 12.75 Lakhs In India

New Delhi: Honda Cars on Wednesday launched a new variant of its mid-sized sedan ‘City’ in India. The new vehicle has been priced at Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Honda City 2019 is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine coupled with manual transmission and gets additional features such as rear parking sensors. The model gets two new exterior colours: Radiant Red Metallic and Lunar Silver across the line-up.

Other features include six airbags, an electric sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers among others. The same features are offered in its automatic counterpart as well.

The Honda City is now offered in a total of four manual gearbox variants for both petrol and diesel: SV, V, VX and ZX. Since the base S model is scrapped by the carmaker, the starting price now stands at Rs 970 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base petrol model while the diesel manual SVMT trim starts at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Additionally, petrol automatic gearbox is also available in V, VX and ZX grades. As of now, Honda City is not offered with a diesel automatic option.
