Harley Davidson Ventures Into Pre-Owned Motorcycle Market

New Delhi: Motorcycle giant Harley-Davidson motorcycle has now entered in the pre-owned or ‘second-hand’ motorcycle sales business. The American bikemaker has introduced a pre-owned program called ‘Harley-Davidson Originals’, which promises best-possible quality checks before selling a used luxury motorbike. Earlier this year, the company had launched its first pre-owned motorcycle showroom in Chennai.

Harley-Davidson Originals consists of a 99-point quality check assurance through stringent examination to ensure that the customers are delivered best quality vehicle. The company also revealed that all ‘Harley-Davidson Originals’ motorcycles will come with an official warranty for one year similar to the warranty that is issued on new motorcycles, with an option to extend it for two or three years.

In the Indian market, the prices Harley-Davidson luxury motorcycles start at Rs. 5.31 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Street 750 model and go up to Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the CVO Limited. Harley-Davidson Originals owners are also eligible to become a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG), which is considered to be the largest motorcycle owners group in the world with close to 1 million members.
