Google Play Music To Permanently Delete Users Library Data On February 24

New Delhi: Are you an android user who loves to listen music through Google Play Music app? If yes, then stay cautious as Google is planning to delete all data from the app.

The tech giant has been sending email alert to Google Play Music users and has warned them about the deadline i.e. February 24. After the deadline, the company will completely erase information of users relating to purchase, playlists, liked songs, albums etc. Hence, users are advised to transfer their data to YouTube Music.

Google had started the process of shutting down of the Play Music app in October, 2020.The Company had earlier planned to stop the service by December, 2020. However, the tech giant has now extended the deadline till February 24, 2021.

In order to transfer data from Google Play Music to YouTube Music by following these steps:

  • Open YouTube Music App
  • Click on profile picture
  • Open settings
  • Click transfer
  • Transfer from Google Play Music
