The Pixel 7a will offer multiple upgrades as compared to its predecessor (Pixel 6a) and one of them includes security.

Google Pixel 7a is perhaps one of the popular upcoming mid-range smartphones that is expected by the global audiences. The Google Pixel 6a has been quite successful in terms of sales and the same is expected from the Pixel 7a. The Pixel 7a will offer multiple upgrades as compared to its predecessor and one of them includes security.

According to the latest leak, the Google Pixel will offer a face unlock feature as along with the fingerprint sensor and Pattern or PIN unlock feature. As reported by 9to5Google, the Pixel 7a is expected to be the most affordable Pixel device to be ever offered by the company. The Face Unlock mechanism of the Pixel 7a will probably work in the same way as the Pixel 7 or the Pixel 7 Pro. The front camera’s dual-pixel nature will authenticate the face unlock. It will differentiate a 3D face against 2D picture of the specific person.

In terms of upgrade, the Google Pixel 6a featured an under-display fingerprint sensor. This is a significant upgrade as the Pixel 5A offers just a fingerprint sensor.

Google is expected to unveil ‘Pixel 7a’ along with ‘Pixel Fold’ at Google I/O on May 10

The Pixel 7a is tipped to be priced at $499 (around Rs 40,938). It will likely to go for sale immediately after launch. It will be offered in four colours and this include Charcoal, Snow, Sea, and Coral. The Coral colour could be exclusive to the Google Store. If this comes out to be true then buyers have to pay $50 more in comparison to the Pixel 6a. Google will continue selling the Pixel 6a even after its successor was launched with a slight price drop starting on May 10.

Speaking about Google Pixel Fold, the latest reports have suggested that the device will cost more than $1700 (may be $1799). On the other hand, the company is expected to offer a freebie along with the Pixel Fold. Buyers will get a Pixel Watch along with the Pixel Fold, revealed a report. There will also be an option for trade-in, if users plan to exchange their old smartphone.
