Google Photos now gets improved search along with Gemini-powered Ask Photos

Users can sort the results according to their relevance as well as date. This new feature is available to the users in English for Android and iOS users. This feature will be expanded in more languages in the upcoming weeks.
On the other hand, selected users in the US get early access to Ask Photos through Google Labs today. However, they need to be signed up for the waitlist. This search feature is powered by the Gemini AI and it lets Photos to understand the context of your photo gallery. It also learns about most important people in your life along with hobbies as well as favourite foods. This simply means that it can bring out important details from your memories and uncover a lot of information about your life.
For those who are unknown, Ask Photos is a chatbot in the Google Photos and it is conversational. Well, if you do not find the required item in the first go, you can always give a second try. This is all possible because of Gemini models. The chatbot can also offer you suggestions for best photos in a specific event.
Google has also hinted that humans can review your Ask Photos queries in order to improve the service. However, they are required to be disconnected from your Google Account so that your privacy can be protected.
