The security flaw has been detected in multiple versions of the Google Chrome for desktop using Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.

According to the official warning issued by CERT-In, the security flaw affects older versions of Chrome on Windows (earlier than 145.0.7632.75/76), Mac (earlier than 145.0.7632.75/76), and Linux (prior to 144.0.7559.75).

The Chrome desktop users have been advised to update their browsers immediately with the latest security patches to stay safe from the security flaw.

According to CERT-In, the vulnerability makes systems defenceless against the invasion of attackers by allowing them to execute unauthorized code by manipulating memory handling inside the browser. This could lead to the hackers to perform complete system comprise, and to steal data, and disrupt services.

The organization has thus flagged the vulnerability as high risk due to its potential for remote exploitation without user awareness.
