Good news WhatsApp users! Now get cashback of Rs 51 on UPI payments

WhastApp has started offering cashback for UPI payments to its Android beta users, in an attempt to gain new users for its Payments service in India. Now, WhatsApp payments users can also get cashbacks just like Google pay users.

WhatsApp is reportedly offering Rs 51 cashback to its users who make transactions through its Payments Service. The cashback option was found in WhatsApp’s Android beta version 2.21.20.3. The app shows a banner on top of the chat list that says “Give cash, get Rs 51 back”.

WhatsApp users on Android can get a guaranteed cashback of Rs 51 up to five times by sending money to different contacts. WhatsApp has not set a limit on the amount for this cashback offer. So, we can assume that a user can send Re 1 and get Rs 51 back. The app will immediately credit Rs 51 to your account once you make the payment. Users will also receive a notification about the cashback from WhatsApp.

But, note that you can get cashback only for five times and it is available only to Android beta users .

WhatsApp may release this cashback feature for all users in India after some time. Previously, Google pay has also introduced a cashback up to Rs 1000 on UPI transactions in its initial days.

Earlier, WhatsApp launched background cards for payments that makes UPI transactions fun and colourful for users.

WhatsApp has also added a payment shortcut button right on the chat bar of the app in a rupee symbol button to make it easier for users to notice and access it.
