Gmail to receive a new layout soon, Check out its new look
Google has announced a new layout for Gmail, which is said to change the way Google Meet, Google Chat, and Spaces are integrated into the app. The new layout will be available in February. The layout is expected to become the default option by the end of Q2 2022.
The new changes will let the Google’s other messaging tools such as its business-focused Workspace suite, have their own screens in Gmail instead of just little windows floating alongside emails. The new screens of the messaging tools will be accessible with large buttons on the left-hand side.
The new Gmail layout will be called as the integrated view. According to the tech giant, the user can start testing of the new layout from February 8.
Users will receive a prompt from Gmail asking you to switch to the new layout. If a user has not opted in for the new layout by April then they will be switched over to the new layout automatically but, they can switch back to old layout by changing the settings.
However, the option to revert back to the old settings will not be retrieved by the end of the second quarter, when the new layout becomes the “standard experience for Gmail,” said Google.
As per Google. the new layout will let users have easy access to other tools without having them always on the screen.

Google says the integrated view will be available to users with a Google Workspace Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, Frontline, Nonprofit, G Suite Basic, or Business account. The Workspace Essentials customers will not be get it at the moment.
