Ford Aspire Facelift Version Launched In India At Rs. 5.55 Lakhs

New Delhi: The facelifted version of Ford’s compact sedan Aspire was launched in India on Thursday. The car is priced Rs 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings opened earlier this month at Rs 11,000. The new version of Aspire features a lot of changes both in exteriors and interiors. Major highlight if the upgraded version is the addition of new powertrains from Ford’s dragon series engine.

The car comes with three new engine options viz.1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Ford also provides a five-year/1,00,000km warranty with the new Aspire.

Speaking of exteriors, the new version gets a new honeycomb pattern front grille, which is also seen on the company’s new Freestyle crossover model. The car also gets sleeker air-dams and a black treatment on the sweptback headlamps. The bumpers have also been restyled and the front bumper now gets better c-shape fog lamp bezels. The tail lamps have been tweaked a bit and the alloy wheels have also been redesigned to provide the side profile with a fresh look. Also, the top-spec variants get larger 15-inch wheels.

The cabin of new Aspire retains the black and beige colour theme from the outgoing model. Besides the regular connectivity features, the system supports Ford’s latest Sync3, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay besides features like voice command and navigation.

The model boosts of rear parking sensors, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), dual front airbags and front seatbelts reminder as standard across the trim range. The car also has a total of six-airbags, two-side and two-curtain airbags extra, for extra safety.
