First generation of OnePlus Nord discontinued in India, OnePlus Nord 2 To Launch Today

Ahead of the launch of OnePlus Nord 2 in India today, OnePlus has discontinued the first generation of OnePlus in the country. As the OnePlus Nord 2 will be the successor of OnePlus Nord and is expected to be priced around the same range, the company might have taken the decision.

This development was first spotted by BGR India. According to latest reports, the smartphone has gone unavailable both on the offline and online platform.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is all set to debut today at 7:30 PM through online. The event will be live-streamed on the YouTube through the company’s official channel.

During the time of launch, OnePlus was offered in three different variants. The variants include 6 GB RAM + 64GB Storage, 12 GB RAM + 128GB Storage and the top variant 12 GB + 256GB Storage.

Speaking about the price of the Nord series, the devices were priced between Rs 24,999 to Rs 29,999.

In terms of specification, the OnePlus Nord offers a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor and gets a 4,300 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

On a comparative note, the Nord 2 offers the same display along with a single-punch hole camera. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor along with a support for 65W fast charging.

However the phone packs a triple-camera setup at the rear which includes a 50MP primary sensor. It is expected that the Nord 2 will be priced starting at Rs 30,000.
