BMW Launches F 750 GS & F 850 GS Motorcycles In India

New Delhi: BMW on Friday launched the all-new BMW F 750 GS and F 850 GS adventure tourer motorcycle in India. Both the vehicles come with price tags of Rs 11.95 lakh and Rs 12.95 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).

The vehicles are available as Completely Built-up Units (CBU) and can be booked at BMW Motorrad dealerships. Beside the standard trim, both the motorcycles are also available in Pro and Pro Low Suspension trims which are priced Rs 1.25 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh higher than their respective standard models.

The seat of BMW F 750 GS is of low height. Its standard height is 815mm which can be further lowered to 770mm using an optional kit. On the other hand, the BMW F 850 GS is a more powerful and off-road biased version of the same motorcycle with a similar design but gets a higher saddle, more suspension travel and durable wire-spoke wheels.

Both the motorcycles are powered by an 853cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine which comes mated to a six-speed transmission using an anti-hopping clutch assembly. The F 750 GS offers a power output of 77PS at 7,500rpm while the BMW F 850 GS claims 95PS at 8,250rpm.

The bikes feature LED headlights with daytime running light, a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity functions to make calls and listening to music from a smartphone. Other safety features include switchable ABS (anti-lock braking system) and ASC (automatic stability control).
