As the world is rapidly moving towards digitization, we are becoming more and more dependent on apps. The apps on our smartphones not only help us in our day-to-day activities but also in keeping a track of our professional lives. Keeping in mind the need of modern users, the government of India has prepared various apps that can be useful to us.

Here is a list of applications that can be useful for us. Make sure that you have these applications downloaded in your smartphone.

mAadhaar

This application was released by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). This app helps the users to keep the information that are present on their Aadhaar in a digital form. After installing mAadhaar on your smartphone, you do not have any need to carry Aadhaar card. It is available in 12 Indian languages which include Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

MyGov

This app lets you to participate in the governance of our country by providing a path to channelize your ideas, comments and creative suggestions to Central ministries and associated organisations. The citizens of our country are free to participate in the formulation and implementation of programs.

mParivahan

The mParivahan application provides a transport service access to citizens through a mobile-based application. The main purpose of the application is to empower citizen with instant access to various information, services and utilities that are related to the transportation sector. This app also provides complete information about any type of vehicle which is registered in India.

UMANG India

The UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) application is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) along with National e-Governance Division (NeGD).

This application offers the citizens of India to access pan-India e-Gov services from the Central, State, Local Bodies, and Agencies of government on app, web, SMS, and IVR channels. The government services that can be accessed are Healthcare, Finance, Education, Housing, Energy, Agriculture, Transport, Employment etc.

DigiLocker

The Government of India under the Digital India campaign has developed the application. The application acts as a simple and secure document wallet where you can keep all documents in a safe way. The documents present in the DigiLocker are legally valid according to the IT Act. Whether you are travelling through road, rail, water or flight, the DigiLocker application allows you to travel paperless and hassle-free.
