Apple may discontinue iPhone 11 series after launch of iPhone 14

Apple iPhone 14 series will be coming later this year as the successor of the Apple iPhone 13 series which was launched last year. Now, a new report has suggested that after the launch of new premium iPhones, Apple may discontinue the iPhone 11 series.

According to a report by a website named iDropNews, Apple will stop selling Apple iPhone 11 series with the launch of iPhone 14 series later this year. The report also suggested that the company may make the move as the iPhone 11 is getting more sales from the newly launched iPhone SE 3 or iPhone SE 2022.

Apple iPhone 11 was launched in 2019 and is one of the most-popular iPhones. It was the highest-selling smartphone in the world in 2020. Now, while the iPhone 11 is reportedly bringing in more sales than the iPhone SE 2022 due to its dual cameras and a larger screen.

Although iPhone 11 is old model and slower than the iPhone SE 2022, people like it more because of its extra rear camera and bigger display.

Moreover, Apple usually reduced the prices of its older smartphones after the arrival of new iPhones. So, like previous years, if Apple cuts the price of the iPhone 11  this year than it will come under the same price range as the iPhone SE 2022.

Report have also suggested that the iPhone 12 series will also receive a further price cut with the launch of new iPhones and will likely be priced at the same level iPhone 11 is currently at.
The iPhone 11 is currently one of the most affordable smartphones sold by Apple.

The iPhone 11 was launched in 2019 at a starting price of Rs 64,900. It features a 6.1-inch liquid retina HD LCD display and has IP68 rating for dust and water resistant. Under the hood, it is powered by A13 Bionic chip and has a dual-camera system with 12MP ultra wide and wide cameras. The iPhone also features a 12MP TrueDepth front camera.
