Apple iOS 16.5 Beta 3 released for developers, What’s new
Apple has released the latest beta update of the iOS 16.5 to developers with some improvements and new sports-related features.
Apple has released the latest beta update of the iOS 16.5 to developers on Tuesday. The update brings bug fixes, overall improvements and new sports-related features. The Cupertino-based tech giant recently rolled out the third beta of macOS Ventura 13.4, watchOS 9.5, and tvOS 16.5 to developers.
What’s new in iOS 16.5 Beta 3?
Apple is releasing the iOS 16.5 beta 3 only for the registered developer beta testers. According to the company announcement, the beta version of the iOS will be deployed to devices that are dedicated for iOS 16.5 software development.
The company has released the latest update with the build number 20F5050f. As the launch of the iOS 17 is getting near, the iOS 16.5 does not include many big changes. The iOS 17 will likely be introduced in just two months at WWDC.
The latest iOS 16.5 update has brought new screen recording commands to Siri. With this, users can start or stop a screen recording using the virtual assistant. Prior to this, users had to manually tap the dedicated toggle in the Control Center for screen recording.
The update also added the highly requested dedicated Sports tab to the Apple News app as per users demand. The new Sports tab includes news and scores revolving around a user’s assigned favorite teams.
The Apple iOS 16.5 will likely be released to the general public sometime in May. The company will release a new public beta as the company continues beta testing ahead of that general release.
The registred developers who have got the update will be able to install it by going to the settings of their iPhone followed by General >> Software Update >> Download and install.
Note that beta profiles are no longer compatible with iOS and iPadOS beta updates as of version 16.4.
