Android Q beta to be available very soon

Bhubaneswar: Google might release the Android Q first beta very soon, tentatively on Wednesday, March 13. Google is yet to make any official announcement, but the company’s Android Q beta bug tracker is live now and that stresses that the release is imminent.

As per the leaks until now, Android Q will bring improved privacy and permission controls. It is also said to be adding support for Face ID-like biometric recognition as well as app update rollback. Also, it is expected that more phones (and not just Google Pixel or Nexus) will get early beta updates this time around.

It’s worth pointing out that the early beta releases are very unstable, and tend to take away a lot of features in devices that would otherwise work on a stable version of Android. Users should ideally not be side-loading beta software onto primary devices, and the programme is meant for independent app developers to get early access to the upcoming OS version on secondary devices for testing.
