Zilla Parishad President treks through forests for mobile network to inform collector about people’s problem

Koraput: She may be too young in politics but she has the heart to serve the people of his locality, which is why she trekked through forests to get mobile network so that she would inform the district collector about the people’s problem and solve it. We are speaking about Koraput  Zilla Parishad President Sasmita Melka, who won the Zilla Parishad seat in Bandhugaon Zone 2 in Koraput district during this recently concluded Panchayat election.

The newly elected educated young Zilla Parishad President had reportedly gone to a village in Bandhugaon Block to meet the villagers and inquiry about their problems.

During her meeting with the people, Melka came to know about different problems faced by the people. She assured them to solve their problems as soon as possible. She then took out her mobile phone to contact the district administration with an aim to appraise the people’s problem to the concerned officials. However, she could make the call as there was no mobile network.

Melka was informed by the villagers that there was no mobile network for the last two days due to some cable problem on the Laxmipur-Narayanpatna route.

After she was told that mobile network is available in the forest area, Melka trekked through the forests, made calls to district collector Abdaal M. Akhtar and discussed with him the people’s problem, which she wanted to be solved at the earliest possible time period.
