Jagatsinghpur: Mystery shrouded the death of a youth whose dead body was found from Mahanadi riverbed near Srichandanpur village under Kujang block in Jagatsinghpur district today.
The incident came to light this morning after some locals spotted the body and called up local police.
While police have reached the spot and seized the body for autopsy, the identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, locals have suspected it to be a case of murder over past enmity. The feared the miscreants might have killed the victim somewhere else and thrown the body into the river to conceal evidence.
An investigation is underway in the case.
