Kendrapara: A youth allegedly killed his stepmother to death at Chakada Gogua village under Tantiapal Police limits in the district on Wednesday. The accused, who has been identified as Binod Ghadei alias Saitan, used a stone muller to kill her following some family dispute.
The deceased woman has been identified as Binita.
According to reports, Binod had a fight with his stepmother over some unknown reasons when his father Bijay Ghadei was not present in the house. Irate over the fight, the accused smashed Binita’s head with a stone muller.
The matter came to light only when Bijay Ghadei spotted Binita’s body lying in a pool of blood this morning. He then filed a complaint with the local police which have detained Binod.
Further investigation into the crime is underway.
