Jajpur: In a shocking incident a youth allegedly slit the throat of a Class-VII girl student at Aswathapal village under Tomka police limits in Jajpur today over ‘one-sided love affair’.
The victim has been admitted at the nearest hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment. The accused Chandra Sekhar Palei has also been arrested by the police.
Police said that the accused was in love with the minor girl but she did not reciprocate his feelings.
“The accused went to the school and slit her throat on the school campus. Locals managed to nab him and later handed over him to the police,” said a police official.
