Puri: In yet another suspected gang war in the religious town a youth sustained bullet injury in attack by rival group members at Siddha Mahavir Square under Town police limits here last night.
The victim identified as Rakesh Nayak of Kumutipatna sustained multiple bullet injuries on his right thigh, says reports.
The attack took place right in front of a youth club located in Kumutipatna area while the victim was on his way back to home. Some unidentified men stopped him and started firing indiscriminately after initial verbal abuse.
Police rushed to the spot and sent Nayak to Puri District Headquarters Hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable.
An investigation is underway in the incident.
