Puri: It was a narrow escape for a youth who was saved from drowning at the Puri sea beach in Odisha on Thursday. The on-duty lifeguard rescued him. He has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
The rescued youth has been identified as Chinmay Pradhan (20) of Sanakhamur village in Angul district.
As per reports, Chinmay had come to the Pilgrim City for a visit. He went to the sea to take bath. The young man lost his balance in high tides while bathing in the sea in front of hotel Sakuntala in sector 2.
Finding Chinmay in distress the on-duty lifeguard jumped into the sea and fished out him from the water. Later, the rescued youth was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
